A State Rocked By Scandal…Again
He’s known as the Wall Street Bully and Governor Steamroller. He’s only been in office for a mere 15 months, but since taking the oath of office he’s embarrassed not only the office, but the entire state with scandal. Not once, but twice. Of course at this point in the man’s checkered political history one must also wonder what other skeletons the man may have hiding in his closet.
I’m talking about New York State Governor Eliot Spitzer today. First off, let me say I feel very sorry for the man’s family. His wife and three daughters must be devasted in the midst of this scandal. To find out the man you’ve called husband and father has been named as Client 9 in a high priced prostitution ring destroys any sense of trust you may have once had in the man.
Spitzer said yesterday his actions “violate his sense of right and wrong.” Was this a lapse in judgement? Sorry, this is disgusting and the man who ran on a platform of ethics reform should be ashamed of himself and do the right thing, right now – resign from the office he’s brought disgrace to.
The man who cracked down on prostitution rings, drug dealers, white collar and blue collar crime, has been caught in his own net of corruption. He should receive the same treatment he gave to others when caught in a crime.
