Obama Says No To Lohan
What in the world is Lindsey Lohan thinking…
Earlier this week the fallen teen star Lindsey Lohan said her mother might have a lot to worry about, but at least she doesn’t have to worry about her “coming home pregnant.” She made the comment while discussing why Governor Sarah Palin is not a good candidate for the White House. Of course it’s no secret that Lohan is a Democrat with little to no love for the Republican’s. But then again, very few people have any love left for Lohan these days. She’s turned into a Hollywood train wreck who’s now experimenting with the lesbian lifestyle. Could it be she went gay because guys stopped returning her calls?
In the latest twist of political news in the lack-luster-Lohan-life, Senator Barack Obama is not returning her calls either!
According to the Chicago Sun-Times Lohan recently expressed an interest in helping Senator Obama’s presidential campaign. She offered to host events which would attract younger voters to the polls in support of Obama’s run for President. However, the reaction from the Obama camp was not very positive. A spokesperson from the Obama Campaign Headquarters responded by saying, “No thanks. That’s not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be positive for us.”
Ouch! Not only are Hollywood directors, actors and others not returning her calls, but now Senator Obama is not returning her calls either. This is actually a very sad story. Not because the Obama camp has said “No thanks,” but because Lohan is an example of a Hollywood teen star who had it all, but has suffered a great fall. Somewhere along the line she turned into a spoiled brat no one wants to work with. She’s a train wreck no one wants to go near, or even clean up.
As a matter of fact, it’s gotten so bad this guy won’t even return her calls…
But here’s an even more interesting take on this story. Tucker Bounds, a spokesperson for the McCain Campaign said, “So let me get this straight — they turned away Lindsey Lohan, but Barack Obama has friends like unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers and convicted felon Tony Rezko?” Bounds concluded his thoughts saying, “Maybe LiLo is just too upstanding for Barack Obama.”
The bottom line is this. Lindsey Lohan needs help. Maybe she needs to worry about rebuilding her image and reputation without leaning on others. Very few of these Hollywood and music types who throw their support behind various political candidates have little to no understanding of what’s going on in the world. Few of them even know what a newspaper looks like. Many times it’s simply a campaign stunt used by political leaders to gather frenzied support, instead of educated support. The star pulls in the people, but the star is in the dark when it comes to real issues.

I have to agree that she needs help.
On a different note, I always wonder what it is about these Hollywood actors who shout at people about politics. It’s as if they have some sort of preferential knowledge about politics and issues that even the candidates themselves don’t have. Like the global warming crowd. They talk as if they have knowledge of stuff like that when they are sadly misinformed. Yet they expect the rest of us to believe what they say is gospel truth (and sadly, many do).
I would like movies and tv shows much better if I DIDN’T know what the actors political preference was.
While I may not agree with Ms. Lohan’s lifestyle, I find this comment: Could it be she went gay because guys stopped returning her calls? completely uncalled for. Bash the choices she makes and enjoy the poetic justice you see in this rejection of her proffered celebrity, but don’t stoop to broad insults of her as a person simply for effect. You are a very witty and intelligent writer. You can do much better than that.
