The Poster Boy For NFL Bad Behavior

Adam “Pacman” Jones

Take a close look at the NFL promotional picture above. It could double for his mug shot too. This guy is an embarrassment at so many levels. He’s a joke when it comes to behavior, and he’s a joke when it comes to playing on the field too. He’s yet another example of a spoiled rotten, over paid and over indulging athlete who needs to be kicked out of the game for good.

Let’s be clear here…Pacman Jones is in no way related to this cute little Pacman…

The Dallas Cowboys Should Be Ashamed Too

Before outlining the latest antics of Jones, I have to point out the fact that the Dallas Cowboys should be ashamed of themselves too. What were they thinking? Jones has been damaged goods for a long time. He has no respect for himself, others, or the game of football. He needs to lose his job, and never play again. With that in mind, the management of the Dallas Cowboys who thought it would be a good idea to hire the player for what’s supposed to be American’s favorite football team, should all be fired. But, if it wasn’t bad enough to hire the loser in the first place, they should all be fired for their inaction after Jones’ latest bad behavior move. As soon as the news came out that Jones was in trouble once again, the Cowboys should have suspended him, or fired him. Instead, they decided to drag their feet and wait for the NFL to react first.

NFL Suspends Pacman Jones Again

They should have done much more than just suspend Jones, but at least it’s a start. The National Football League suspended the Dallas Cowboys cornerback indefinitely for getting into a fight with his bodyguard at a private party a week ago. How stupid is that? Not the suspension, but the fact that Jones got into a fight with his bodyguard! The guy is supposed to protect him. But, then again, the fact that Jones has a bodyguard just amplifies the fact that he’s a spoiled rotten athlete.

Does he think he’s that important that he needs a bodyguard?

If anything, the guy needs a bodyguard to protect him from himself. Commissioner Roger Goodell announced that Jones would miss at least the next four games. Then, on November 16th, Goodell will decide whether to continue the suspension. What in the world does Goodell have to think about here? Time and time again Jones has proven he’s a low-life-thug, NOT an athlete. There’s nothing to decide here, just kick him out of the league for good.

This latest incident comes just weeks after Jones begged the Commissioner to reinstate him in the league. Jones just completed a 17 month suspension handed down by Goodell for various run-ins with the law, including a fistfight and shooting at a Las Vegas nightclub. Jones played for the Tennessee Titans before they dumped him onto the Cowboys. Even though Dallas owner Jerry Jones didn’t discipline Pacman Jones for the latest incident, he did say he supports the league’s decision.

In other words, Jerry Jones is a wimp refusing to take action because he wants to blame it on someone else.

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, is doing nothing more than empower the bad behavior of his athletes. He might say with his lips that he believes his team sets a good example, but his actions are certainly speaking louder than words. Come on owner Jones, step up to the plate, be a man, and start setting an example yourself.

Just my two cents,
