Ballpark Burger
Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

The new baseball season is right around the corner! Spring training camps are well underway and soon the Boys of Summer will hit the diamond for another exciting season of baseball. Personally, I don’t watch much baseball on TV. But, I do love going to the ballpark. There’s just something about sitting in the stands that makes it much more exciting. At least for me.
Going hand in hand with baseball and the baseball park – ballpark food! Whenever I go to a Red Wings game in Rochester, New York I love to get one of the cool sundaes in a nifty plastic baseball batters hat bowl. It’s the best! Aside from the ice cream, the foot-long hotdogs are usually a must too.
Then of course, there’s the great hamburgers!
A Cardiac Arrest Burger
There’s just something about a baseball park hamburger that’s amazing. Sure, it’s probably not the best burger in town, but it’s at the baseball park! Somehow, that’s just better. This year, one minor league team is serving up a major league hamburger! Just how major is this burger?
How does 4,800 calories sound?
Now that’s a BIG burger! But hey, you’re at a baseball park so it doesn’t really matter right? It’s a four-pound burger which comes with five patties, five slices of cheese, a cup of chili and salsa and corn chips stuffed into an eight-inch sesame-seed bun. The West Michigan Whitecaps are offering the burger at Fifth Third Ballpark. The cost for the artery-hardening-burger is $20 bucks! Then, as an added bonus, for anyone who can finish the burger off in one sitting, they get a free t-shirt!
I wonder if paramedics are also standing by in case of a heart attack! I think I’ll take a pass on the giant burger.
Just my two cents,
Dr. Rus
