How To Escape Prison 101
Police in Columbia, Missouri arrested Curtis Jones yesterday after he broke out of Howard County Jail on Monday using a cardboard toilet paper holder. Officials say Jones folded the holder and wedged it into the lock in the door to his cell. When a guard went to a different part of the jail, he slipped out. Jones previously escaped from jail in 1996 when he broke out through a hole in the ceiling.
Mother Says She Can Drink Like A Fish
Having three kids isn’t stopping a Fort Smith, Arkansas woman from having a good time. The unidentified woman will not regain custody of her three children after she drank 13 beers before showing up at a psychological evaluation. She claimed she wasn’t drunk because she, quote, “can drink like a fish.” The woman had sought to get the kids back from her husband’s stepmother. The Arkansas Court of Appeals turned down the woman’s request.
Car Thief Mocks Pizza Delivery Man
A Brooklyn, New York teenager who stole a pizza delivery man’s car was arrested in 30 minutes or less. Police arrested the 16-year-old after he stole a pizza delivery man’s car and took it for a spin. While making a delivery, Gladimir Occelin left his car running, at which point the teen jumped behind the wheel and took it for a spin. Occelin called 911 and police quickly made the arrest.

1967 – The Beatles recorded “All You Need Is Love,” live from London’s Abbey Road Studios. The group represented the U.K. in the first worldwide live satellite TV broadcast. The invited audience at the session included Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Keith Moon, Graham Nash and Marianne Faithful. The show was called Our World and aired live in the U.S. on PBS. John Lennon re-did his vocals for the released vinyl version of the tune.
General History
