Dirty Tourist Attractions
Summertime Travel!

Summertime is here, and that means many people are now thinking about summer travel plans.
Where to go, where to go, where to go!?
Instead of pointing out some of the great places to visit, like the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls or some other wonder of the world, I thought I’d point out some places you might like to avoid. Trip Advisor recently came out with its list of the world’s five germist attractions!
If you’re planning a visit to any of these attractions, you may also want to pack some hand sanitizer and a hazmat suit.
- Blarney Stone – Blarney, Ireland. Roughly 400,000 people kiss this stone annually.
- Wall of Gum – Seattle. This is a wall where thousands of people have stuck their gum since the 1990’s.
- Oscar Wilde’s Tomb – Paris. The tomb is covered in lipstick from admirers who’ve kissed it.
- St. Mark’s Square – Venice, Italy. Vendors used to sell food to tourists to give to pigeons. That tradition has stopped, but the birds still turn out in abundance.
- Forecourt of Grauman’s Chinese Theater – Hollywood. Millions of fans visit here each year and place their hands in the cement hand and feet impressions made by some of Tinseltown’s biggest stars.
