News That Makes You Wonder

“Ring And Run In The Nude No More”
Police in Redwood City, California arrested 38-year-old Peter Steele last week for ringing doorbells while naked.  Residents at two homes called police around 3 in the morning to report a guy in his birthday suit had rung their bells.  An officer summoned to the area spotted a truck and chased it for seven miles after the driver refused to pull over.  Once police stopped the motorist, the man ran out of his car and tried to escape. He was taking into custody after a short foot chase.

“Dad Chooses Drinking Over Parenting”
Police in Minneapolis arrested a 33-year-old man after he left his one-year-old son in a truck while he went into a bar to drink. Authorities say the man initially walked into the tavern with the toddler, but an off-duty officer working as a bouncer told him he couldn’t take the boy in with him.  The man left, but came back a half-hour later by himself.  The officer grew curious, so he walked around the parking and that’s when he found the boy sitting in a truck all by himself.

“Man Destroys Wal-Mart TVs — Twice”
Police arrested Jeremy Rhodes of Klamath, California after he picked a fight with a number of television sets. Authorities say Rhodes walked into a Wal-Mart with a softball bat and destroyed seven TV sets. He was released from jail two days later, but went into reruns the next day when he returned to the same Walmart with a lamp, which he used to beat a plasma TV and several other TV’s.  He was then arrested a short time later.
