“Teen Skips School to Rob Bank”
Police in Warwick, Rhode Island arrested a 17-year-old boy whom they say skipped school to rob a bank. Authorities say the teen was arrested about six hours after holding up a Coastway Community Bank and passing a note riddled with misspellings to a teller that demanded money or “everyone will be shot.” Police say the teen was caught on surveillance video and his fingerprints were all over the note.
“Who Would Steal A Million Bees?”
Police in New Zealand are busy as bees searching for the thieves who stole more than one million of the insects from a beekeeper. John Tyler told police he was getting ready to supply his bees to farmers to pollinate their fields when he discovered all 28 of his hives missing from his property. Each hive contained about 50 thousand bees and Tyler figures the robbery required at least two men and a truck. Tyler says his bees were worth about 75 hundred dollars and were not insured.
“Grandpa Allegedly Drives Drunk With Grandson Clinging to Roof”
A Texas grandfather is facing misdemeanor charges for allegedly driving his Ford Escort around in circles in his back yard while intoxicated — with his seven-year-old grandson clinging to the roof rack while the boy’s feet dangled over the windshield. The 56-year-old man was charged with DUI, child neglect and child endangerment after a witness called police to say he was doing donuts with his car on his back lawn and had just taken out part of a wooden porch in the process.

D.B. Cooper Hijacking Anniversary – 1971 – A middle aged man whose plane ticket was made out to “D.B. Cooper” parachuted from a Northwest Airlines 727 jetliner carrying $200,000 which he had collected from the airline as ransom for the plane and passengers as
a result of threats made during his flight. He jumped from the plane over an area of wilderness south of Seattle and was never apprehended. Several thousand dollars of the marked ransom money turned up in February, 1980 along the Columbia River, new Vancouver, WA
