“Grandpa Smacks Supermarket Shoppers with Salami”
A dispute over a supermarket shopping cart turned into a food fight in with a 74-year-old man smacking people with a salami and a woman fending off the blows with a four-pound wedge of Parmesan cheese. Authorities say the incident started when the man and a 35 year old woman both claimed the same shopping cart outside a supermarket. The woman got the cart after her 24-year-old brother knocked the elderly man to the ground, but the fight was far from over. The man followed the brother and sister and their mom into the store, where he grabbed a salami and started hitting them. When the mom blocked some of the blows with the wedge of cheese, the old man shoved the younger woman into a glass countertop where she banged her head.
“Officers Arrest Christmas”
Merry Christmas won’t be having a merry Christmas. Police in Boynton Beach, Florida arrested a 44-year-old woman named Merry Christmas for obstructing a police investigation into a disturbance. Christmas, whose birthday is December 28th, started acting like a real grinch by screaming at a woman officers were interviewing. She refused to calm down and resisted arrest when an officer tried to take her into custody. Another man was also arrested for pushing the officer who attempted to cuff Christmas.
“Golfer Claims Club Shower Is a Water Hazard”
A retired insurance man is suing a private golf club for 80 thousand dollars after falling on a shower floor that he claims was “too slippery.” According to court documents, 72 year old Anthony Avery filed the lawsuit because he’s an avid golfer who claims he’s not been able to play a round without pain since his fall at the club. Avery says the Rye Golf Club in East Sussex, England failed to ensure sufficient “anti-slip measures” were taken in a shower area.
