“Phone Thief Calls In Name & Address”
A cell phone thief in Britain didn’t turn himself in so much as call himself in. Police arrested 24-year-old Peter Gamblin after he gave his name and address to the phone’s owner when he called Gamblin following the theft. Gamblin reportedly passed on his info just to show off, although he claimed he never stole the phone.
“Woman Calls 9-1-1 To Get Kid Off Video Game”
A woman in Boston went a Wii bit off the deep end when she couldn’t get her teenage son to stop playing video games. Authorities say she called 9-1-1 around 2:30 in the morning to complain she couldn’t get the 14-year-old boy to stop playing Grand Theft Auto and go to sleep. Officers showed up at the house and convinced the boy to listen to his mother.
“Stabbings Mar Parking And Talking Disagreements”
Police in Springfield, Missouri arrested an 18-year-old woman for stabbing a man she believed took a parking spot she was waiting for in the lot of a Chili’s restaurant. Authorities say the woman stabbed the man several times with an ice pick and fled the scene, though police tracked her down after witnesses gave them her license plate number. The victim went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
